4 Month In-Home Program

This extended 4 month in-home program starting as early as 7 weeks old is designed to prepare him/her for their future as a house companion, hunting dog, or competition dog! Once your puppy reaches 6 months of age, he or she will transition to the kennel to complete Basic Obedience or Gundog Training Programs. We welcome visits and potential weekend “go homes” to help with transition to your home!

• Potty training

• How to be social with people and other animals

• Not to jump

• Not to bite

• Not to bark at you

• Taught to walk on a leash

• Create eye contact

• Not to rush through doors

• Informally start learning obedience commands

• Crate training and learning it is a positive place to be.

• Future Gundog puppies will also get birds, retrieves, gunfire from a distance and water introduction (if weather permits)

• During the puppy’s stay, they will stay up to date on puppy shots, (first round should have been given by the breeder) and a deworming which is included in the price.

 

Your puppy will live in home with our Assistant trainer and receive 24/7 care. They will be responsible for the training mentioned above and the overall wellness of your puppy. You will receive bi-weekly progress reports and pictures during their stay.
